ALX 3-Step Base, is used before color in 3 step gel polish. It's compatible with all the major brands of gel polish and can be used also in combination with one step gel polish if you want. It's not necessary to use it in one step. In 3 step colors it's mandatory.Gel polish is also called hybrid polish, semi-permanent, etc.
